Blackwood Town Council is situated within the Sirhowy Valley of Caerphilly County Borough.
The Town represents and serves 4 wards and 16 members serving on the Council made up of,
Current members – 2 Labour 4 Plaid Cymru 9 Independents 1 Conservative

We levy a precept each year and provide
- The Christmas Lighting/Decorations on the High Street
- Christmas Lantern Parade & Carol Concert
- Organise the Remembrance Service
- Fund grants to charitable organisations and local groups.

- The Winter Fair
- Mayors Charity Concert
- Blackwood In Bloom
- Town Centre Hanging Baskets
Town Council also sponsors the Blackwood in Bloom competition which encourages people to make the most of their own front gardens. We also recognises local individuals who have made a contribution to the wellbeing of the Town by presenting them with a Civic Award.
