BLACKWOOD SUPPORTS UKRAINE
TURNING THE TOWN BLUE & YELLOW

Blackwood, thanks to the support and financial donations of many of the
Independent local businesses in the town, are looking to show we stand in
solidarity with the people of the Ukraine during these very disturbing times.
We will on Friday & Saturday look to Turn the Town Blue & Yellow with the
lampposts and hopefully many shop windows in the High Street being dressed
with the Ukrainian colours, that have become so familiar to us all over the past
4 weeks.

The Blackwood Miners Institute has been lit with the colours of the Ukrainian
flag, and we are hoping flags will also be flown outside Tidal Stores, Gus Jones
and above the Maxime Cinema.

Blackwood Town Council have been granted a Street Collection Permit
authorising a collection in respect of DISASTERS EMERGENCY
COMMITTEE – UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN APPEAL for Friday &
Saturday ( 25th & 26th March ) between the hours of 10.00am. and 5.00pm.,
whilst also being allowed to collect in the foyer of ASDA on Saturday.
Please give generously to this most worthy of causes, and be assured ALL
DONATIONS will be forwarded to D.E.C. without any deductions for expenses
